Our Mission:

 Lifestyle Youth Fitness Training (LYFT) by Bodyshop Athletics X provides fitness training for young athletes and maintains an unintimidating atmosphere for young people and their parents who are interested in a healthy and active lifestyle.

Our Vision:

By providing fitness programs for young athletes as well as unintimidating fitness programs for all fitness levels Lifestyle Youth Fitness Training is committed to lead America into a culture of healthy and active living by providing activities and education opportunities suitable for the entire family.

Our Philosophy:

Through LYFT we engage in fitness training that concentrates on developmental stages. We have an educational approach. LYFT by Bodyshop Athletics X understands that our coaches have much more than a physical impact on our young members. Our coaches are leaders that equip our participants with tools that will lead to success after our program. LYFT members will learn how to interact with their peer groups, set goals, accomplish goals, and meet challenges. All LYFT Coaches want to see your children and teenagers reach their full potential in health, on the field, and in life.

EVALUATION PROCESS

Every program will begin and end with evaluations. LYFT evaluations are designed to assess participant's fitness levels, kinesthetic ability, and gauge progress for both individuals and classes. At the conclusion of the evaluation, participants are placed in the following levels Foundations, Development, or Strength. In addition to individual levels, evaluations also indicate the level of training each class should partake in. 

DEVELOPMENTAL CATEGORIES:

The Foundations Training Level (FTL) is the first stage of training, FTL focuses on teaching fundamentals of movement patterns.We firmly believe a strong foundation paves the way for a stronger future.

The Developments Training Level (DTL) is the second stage of the LYF Training System. Our focus is on creating habits out of movement patterns. Power movement patterns become functional when they become habitual. "Repetition encodes memory".

Strength in movement training level (STL) is the third stage in the LYF Training System. Our focus is developing strength, speed, endurance, and fostering healthy lifestyle patterns. Participants in this training level exhibit a goal level of kinesthetic awareness.

SCHEDULE NORTHWEST YMCA:

Ages 9-12: 4:30-5:30 PM (M,T, Th)

Ages 13-14: 5:30-6:30 PM (M,T, Th)

**Classes begin Monday, March 13th 2017**
